Well met, stranger!
I have 5+ years of industry experience as a full-stack developer and you will not be my first mentee. I’ve mentored 3 people so far and the feedback was very positive. One of those people has been promoted junior -> middle along the way.
I believe people of all levels can learn something from me, but IMO we are going to be the most productive if you are:
- an aspiring engineer who wants to up your game and become a middle grade developer
- a middle grade developer who wants to get promoted
What do I offer?
- If you are either a current member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or a veteran (I might ask for some proofs) - my services are free of charge and it is going to stay this way forever.
- Fluent-like English. In case you want to work on enhancing your level of English while working on your engineering skills - I am the guy for the job.
- I am an engineer, not a coder. Which means I can help with technology agnostic things and thinking outside of libraries and frameworks.
- Back-end or/and front-end - I got you! I’ve been working with both parts of web-application development a lot, so we can talk about browsers and databases. Your roadmap, your goals.
- Have trouble setting goals, which are easy to follow and are quant? I will help you set up the system so that you can carry on on your own as soon as we are done.
- Oh, about getting done! Yes, we are going to set up the goals and finish as soon as you feel fulfilled. I don’t want to waste your money like some other “mentors” do.
- I can help with public speaking as I was once doing it as a hobby, so I know how to perform on stage and sound confident/professional.
- Just need a more experienced programming buddy for code reviews, motivation sessions or talking through stuff? We can most certainly do this!
