I've spent eight years growing engineers into leaders — first as a team lead running small teams across two startups, then as a director building and scaling an engineering organization from the ground up for the last four and a half years. Before management, I spent seven years as an engineer myself, so I know both sides of that transition intimately. Across two startups and many companies, I've seen it all: rapid growth, reorgs, shifting priorities, resource constraints, and the kind of corporate chaos that either breaks people or forges them. I've learned how to stay focused, resilient, and effective through all of it — and I enjoy teaching others to do the same.
